Osimhen Amongst The Goals as Napoli Win Thriller

In a thrilling encounter at the Stadio Brianteo, Napoli secured a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Monza in an action-packed contest.

The match began with an early breakthrough for Monza as Milan Duric opened the scoring in the 9th minute, putting the home side ahead and setting the stage for an exciting encounter.

 

Napoli responded strongly in the second half, with Victor Osimhen rising highest to head home Frank Anguissa’s cross in the 55th minute, restoring parity for the visitors.

The momentum swung in Napoli’s favor just two minutes later when Matteo Politano unleashed a blistering strike from the edge of the 18-yard area to give Napoli the lead in the 57th minute.

 

Napoli extended their lead further in the 61st minute when Piotr Zielinski found the back of the net, finishing off a well-worked move assisted by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

However, Monza refused to go down without a fight and quickly pulled one back in the 62nd minute when Andrea Colpani capitalized on an assist from Samuele Birindelli, reigniting hope for the home side.

 

Napoli sealed the victory and secured all three points in the 68th minute when Giacomo Raspadori found the back of the net, wrapping up a thrilling 4-2 win for the Partenopei.

 

With this victory, Napoli stay in 7th place in the Serie A table with 48 points from 31 games, while Monza sits in 11th place with 42 points from the same number of games.
