Osimhen Scores, but Napoli Settle for Draw Against Frosinone

Date:

Victor Osimhen continued his impressive scoring streak by netting his 15th goal of the season across all competitions, but Napoli was held to a 2-2 draw by Frosinone at the Maradona Stadium.

Italy forward Matteo Politano gave Napoli the lead in the 16th minute, only to be canceled out by Frosinone’s Mathias Soule from the penalty spot.

Osimhen restored Napoli’s lead in the 63rd minute after an assist from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but Frosinone once again equalized through Walid Cheddira.

Despite their efforts to find a winner, Napoli was unable to break down Frosinone’s defense, and their hopes were further dampened by Mario Rui’s red card in added time.

The draw leaves Napoli disappointed, as they continue to struggle this season after clinching the Serie A title last year.
