Osimhen Scores, but Napoli Stumble

In an intense Serie A encounter at the Estadio Diego Maradona, Napoli and Frosinone battled to a thrilling 2-2 draw, showcasing their attacking prowess and resilience on the field.

 

The match kicked off with Napoli taking the lead in the 16th minute, as Matteo Politano found the back of the net, capitalizing on an assist from Giovanni Di Lorenzo to give the hosts an early advantage and ignite the crowd’s spirits.

 

However, Frosinone responded strongly in the second half and leveled the score in the 50th minute. Walid Cheddira capitalized on an assist from Matias Soule to restore parity for the visitors, stunning the Napoli faithful and shifting the momentum in Frosinone’s favor.

 

Napoli quickly regained the lead in the 63rd minute when Victor Osimhen found the back of the net, finishing off a well-worked move assisted by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, much to the relief of the home fans.

 

Nevertheless, Frosinone refused to be denied and fought back once again, equalizing in the 73rd minute. Walid Cheddira bagged his second goal of the match, this time assisted by Nadir Zortea, to secure a valuable point for Frosinone and leave Napoli frustrated.

 

With this result, Napoli loses further ground in their pursuit of European qualification, as they remain in 7th place in the Serie A table with 49 points. On the other hand, Frosinone sits in 19th place with 27 points, as they continue their battle to avoid relegation.
