Our first match of the season ended in defeat : Kenechukwu Okolie

The 20 years old striker kenechukwu Okolie who just signed a year’s deal with a Portuguese lower division Valadares Gaia Fc made his first debut, in the first game of the league.Young striker spoke exclusively to www.footballlive.com on his first experience in the league.

The former Royal Sporting Academy player had his first in the yellow and blue jersey Valaderes Gaia Fc of an away match against Rio Ave B.

Talented striker acknowledged it was a tough game considering the fact it was an away match against their opponent whose first team plays at the Portuguese premier league.

The striker said their opponent dominated the game and made game tactically difficult for them .

Our first game, which was an away match, was not in our favour, but we will keep working hard, we will keep improving and we hope to bounce back very good in our next match.

We have a good team even though we were faced with a tasking challenge in our first game.

I played the full time of 90 mins in my first debut game for my new club i gave my best, It was unfortunate i didn’t find the back of the net.

The Enugu born striker i know very soon i will score goals for my club.

Following his pre-season record he has scored more than five goals during the pre-season friendly.

Okolie concluded saying with hard work we will get a desire results in the league .
