Oladimeji Abimbola, head coach of Sunshine Queens, has instilled confidence in his team ahead of their Nigeria Women Football League matchday 12 clash against Rivers Angels.

The Owena Whales are set to host Rivers Angels at the Akure Township Stadium, with Abimbola expressing optimism about his team’s readiness to secure a favorable result.

“Our girls are physically prepared to deliver the much-needed result in the upcoming game,” Abimbola affirmed, highlighting the team’s readiness for the crucial encounter.

He emphasized the significance of the Akure Township Stadium, noting its transformation into a fortress for Sunshine Queens. Abimbola recalled the team’s unbeaten record at home, underlining their determination to maintain this streak.

“After losing 1-0 to Edo Queens in the first round of the league, our home ground has become a fortress for us,” Abimbola explained confidently. “We have not lost any game here, and we are determined to uphold this record.”

Expressing trust and belief in his players, Abimbola expressed confidence that Sunshine Queens would deliver and secure maximum points, aiming to delight their fans with an impressive performance.

Currently occupying the seventh position on the NWFL table with 10 points, Sunshine Queens are determined to climb further up the standings with a strong performance against Rivers Angels.
