Newly signed Plateau United player, Ovoke Benard has admitted that coach Abdu Maikaba was the reason behind his move to the Jos based outfit.
The former Bayelsa United winger ditched Rivers United for a crack at the Middle Belt and pitched tent with the Peace Boys in the current Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Transfer Window.
“I had good memories at Rivers United and can’t forget the club. It was nice to have played for the team under the watchful eyes of coach Stanley Eguma who gave so much to me as a player. My gratitude to the club for the opportunity to play for them.”
“Moving to Plateau United was a very easy decision because of the influence of coach Abdu Maikaba, a man I respect a lot due to his antecedents on the domestic scene.”
“I have been itching to play for him. Now the opportunity has come. I will ensure that my move to Plateau United comes with goals, assists and silverware for the team,” he concluded.
