Uganda’s soccer hero of the moment, Patrick Kaddu will be aiming for a momentum of glory against Nigeria on Tuesday, as he enters the friendly against the Super Eagles on the strength of his goal that fetched his country a second straight Africa Cup of Nations ticket.
The Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) FC of Uganda is currently standing tall and highly-rated among his compatriots, following his heroics on Saturday, which footballlive.ng now sees makes him The Cranes’ outstanding player for Tuesday’s friendly.
Before now, Simba’s Emma Okwi had been rated Uganda’s biggest star attraction for the match at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, but latest reports indicate that he will not get his 66th cap against the Eagles.
Despite being suspended for the AFCON qualifier against Cape Verde last weekend, Okwi was called-up during the international break, but he has not been listed in their 18-man squad list to Asaba.
Kaddu will now be expected to repeat the same heroics that saw him get the lone goal that helped Uganda qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations courtesy of their 1-0 win over Cape Verde.
However, he will not be alone upfront, as Kaddu has been named along with Derrick Nsibambi of Smouha FC in Egypt as the only attackers in Uganda’s team to Asaba, Delta State.
