Trabzonspor has secured their 16th Turkish Cup final berth, with Paul Onuachu playing a crucial role by scoring a goal.
However, the Super Eagles striker’s joy was short-lived as he was later forced out of the semifinal due to injury.
His goal came in the 54th minute of the match against Fatih Karagumruk, giving his team the lead. However, just three minutes later, Paul Onuachu sustained an injury during an aerial clash which led to his substitution.
The 29 year-old striker had only recently returned from injury, making his forced exit a setback for both him and the team.
Trabzonspor managed to secure a convincing 4-0 victory over Fatih Karagumruk. This victory came after the first leg ended 3-2 in favor of Trabzonspor, leading to a rematch.
With their place in the final confirmed, Trabzonspor is now set to face Besiktas as they aim for their 10th Turkish Cup triumph.
Their last victory in the competition came in the 2019-2020 season, and they will be eager to add another title to their collection.
