Nigerian players abroad were in action for their various clubs on Monday.
Victor Moses failed to sparkle for Fenerbahce in a six-goal thriller with Besiktas.
Striker Tosin Ayegun continued his fantastic pre season form for Ventspils who did enough to deflate Ranheim.
Kayode Olarenwaju and Ubong Ekpai weren’t deemed good enough to play in the colours of Shakhtar Donetsk and Viktoria Plzen respectively. They were benched by their clubs.

At the Mestsky Stadion, Ubong Ekpai was an unused substitute as Viktoria Plzen picked up a 2-1 win over Opava.

10-man Vendsyssel FF were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Koebenhavn at the Telia Parken.
Emmanuel Ogude came off the bench to replace Vendsysell’s goalscorer Moses Opondo in the 78th minute.
Turkey
Winger Victor Moses featured for Fenerbahce who came back from a three-goal deficit to draw 3-3 with Besiktas in the Turkish Super League.
The on-loan Chelsea star was replaced by Andey Ayew at the beginning of the second stanza at the Vodafone Stadyumu.

Former Flying Eagles forward Olarenwaju Kayode was benched for the full throttle as Shakhtar Donetsk defeated FC Olexandria 2-0.
