Peseiro Appraises Quality of Opposition

Date:

Nigerian National team coach, Jose Peseiro has appraised the quality of the South African national team. Both countries are set to meet in a blockbuster affair in Bouake on Wednesday evening.

Peseiro in pre match conference, attested to rhe readiness of the nigerian team, saying they showed good organisation and spirit.

He also acknowledged the strength of their south African counterparts, saying they knocked out Morocco and they will need to play at their best to get the job done.

Peseiro, in his exact words said:

“Showing good spirit, showing good organisation. Showing good demand for sacrifice. We play like a team together. We have a tough match against a good national team”.

“And you want to beat South Africa for each of the final because of our goal. For that, you must play an A-level match”.

“We know the capacity and the power of the opponent. When the opponent put Morocco out, Morocco did a fantastic work up”.

“They even put my Portugal out to a cup, last World Cup. And beat Brazil in 10 matches. One team with good quality, capacity. But that, my players and me, we know what we must do. But sure, we must play 100% or more for a bit on a very good team”.

Nigeria and South Africa have met thrice previously at the AFCON, with the west africans winning all previous encounters.

The Stade De La Paix is set to the be venue for what is already dubbed ‘A final before a final’.
