Striker Peter Michael says they never stopped believing after his goal helped Valerenga to pick a point at home to Sandefjord in a Norwegian top flight match on Sunday.
Valerenga rallied from two goals to draw parity in front of a packed crowd at the Infitily Arena.
The Pride of Oslo looked lethargic in the opening 80 minutes as they found the away team difficult to contain with sloppy midfield display.
But they rallied in the space of four minutes with a renewed spirit and took their destiny into their own hands.
Michael sparked the revival for the Pride of Oslo in the 89th minute. He got on the end of Felipe Carvalho’s pass with a sublime finish.
Felix Myhr brought Valerenga back into the game with a last-gasp equaliser.
The in-form hot-shot (Peter Michael) says they never stopped believing they could bag at least a point.
“It wasn’t easy but when we went on break, we spoke with ourselves and never stopped believing that we could get something from this game,” Peter Michael told Footballlive.ng.
“We are very happy with our performance and we’re happy that we have made our fans happy.
“We have a solid team and I believe with some amount of luck we’ll cause upsets. We are not talking much, just taking our chances when it comes.
