FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, who is widely considered as one of the best players to play football, has named the three best goalkeepers he has played against in his career!
The Argentine has got the better of many shot-stoppers throughout his career, but from time to time, the 30-year-old has been kept out by a determined keeper between the sticks.
In a recent interview, Messi was asked to name the best goalkeeper he has ever faced, but the Catalan club forward could not pick between a Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich legend.
“The best goalkeeper? I played against many, but to choose one specifically I would say (Gianluigi) Buffon, and (Manuel) Neuer…I don’t know there’s so many but they are two of the best,” he told FIFA.
“Also (Iker) Casillas.”
Messi will be in action against Israel for Argentina this coming weekend in an international friendly, ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
