Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Melvin Amaju Pinnick has declared that the soccer governing body will do everything to ensure that the female national team, Super Falcons get early and good preparations for next year’s FIFA Women World Cup in France.
Pinnick, who is also first vice-president of Confederation of African Football (CAF), said winning the African title has become part and parcel of the Falcons, hence the NFF’s target to ensure they go one step further in doing well at the World Cup.
Footballlive.ng reports that NFF supremo admitted further that a lot of money will be required to give the team proper preparations for the Mundial, but the Delta State-born administrator promised that they will do all that is necessary to get the needed funds.
He added: “This is the Falcons’ ninth African title, so the news is not that they won here.
“The news is that the Nigeria Football Federation will look for the resources to to give the team solid preparation.
“This time, we will make a big impact at the FIFA World Cup and not simply go there to make up the number.”
