Plateau United Blames Loss on Lapse in Concentration

Date:

Plateau United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, attributed his team’s 1-0 defeat to Abia Warriors to a loss of concentration during the game.

Although the team initially coordinated well, Plateau United suffered a setback in the second half, allowing Abia Warriors to capitalize and secure the victory.

Mangut shared his thoughts with reporters, saying, “It wasn’t easy against Abia Warriors because at a time the players were coordinating in the game and in-between the second half we lost due to concentration which resulted in the goal.”

Acknowledging the resilience of Abia Warriors, Mangut added, “Abia Warriors deserved the victory because they showed more determination and character to win the game.”

Expressing disappointment with his team’s performance, Mangut emphasized the importance of maintaining focus, stating, “The league is rounding up and we are out for the points and we losing it this isn’t good for the team considering our target.”

The win halted Abia Warriors’ four-game winless run as they moved to ninth position with 38 points. Both teams will be looking to bounce back from their respective setbacks and finish strong in the league campaign.
