Shooting Stars technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has urged his team to shift their focus to the remaining matches in the NPFL.
This is following the Ibadan Warriors elimination from the 2024 President Federation Cup after a 1-0 loss to El-Kanemi Warriors in Abuja on Wednesday.
Ogunbote encouraged his players to put the defeat behind them and concentrate on the league.
“We are out, and there is nothing anybody can do about that. But I want you to put that behind you and focus on the task before us, which is the league,” he told the players after the game.
He continued, “I want us to approach Sunday’s match against the Abia Warriors like wounded lions, like somebody who has been insulted and bruised. Every game in the remaining matches means so much to us, and we cannot afford to fail.”
Shooting Stars will face Abia Warriors in matchday 34 fixture in Ibadan this weekend.
