Premier League or Bust: Victor Osimhen eyes England or Juventus as rivals scramble for top strikers

Date:

Osimhen’s Turkish Masterclass Nears Final Curtain

After a scintillating season in Turkey with 28 goals in 32 games for Galatasaray, Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen is already plotting his next move—and it’s a blockbuster.

The 26-year-old, on loan from Napoli, has reportedly set his sights on the Premier League or a switch to Italian giants Juventus, according to reports.

Crucially, there’s no option to make the deal permanent in Galatasaray’s agreement with Napoli, meaning Osimhen is back on the European market—and at a price tag that’s already turning heads: €65 million ($71 million).

England Calling: United, Chelsea, Arsenal All in the Mix

With Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal all on the hunt for a new No. 9, Osimhen’s timing couldn’t be more perfect—or more complicated.

Chelsea, long-time admirers of the Nigerian, have rekindled their interest, while Arsenal, despite also monitoring Viktor Gyökeres (Sporting CP) and Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig), are weighing up the value of Osimhen’s consistent firepower and experience in Italy and Turkey.

United, meanwhile, appear to be cooling their interest, not because of form, but because of finances.

Reports from ESPN revealed Osimhen’s expected salary demands—€11m a year after tax—have raised eyebrows at Old Trafford, where a wage-slashing summer is already underway.

The Liam Delap Twist: Man United Look to Ipswich

In a surprising twist, Manchester United have leapfrogged Ipswich striker Liam Delap above Osimhen in their transfer pecking order.

The 22-year-old, currently fighting relegation with Ipswich, is seen as a lower-cost, lower-risk option, available for around £40 million if Ipswich drop to the Championship—and on a wage that’s a fraction of Osimhen’s.

Delap’s rise has added a new dimension to the striker merry-go-round: one club’s bargain alternative could set off a domino effect across the market.

Juventus Monitoring—But Can They Afford Victor Osimhen?

Back in Italy, Juventus are watching Osimhen closely, intrigued by the chance to bring him back to Serie A where he bagged 76 goals across four seasons with Napoli.

However, Juventus’ budget constraints, much like United’s, could be a stumbling block unless they make major sales.

Transfer Chaos Incoming?

With top-tier clubs juggling financial fair play, high wages, and striker shortages, Osimhen’s availability could either spark a bidding war—or scare off suitors looking for cheaper alternatives.

The headline now is Victor Osimhen wants out, and the Premier League may be his next goal-scoring playground—if the price is right.

Stay tuned. This summer could get wild.
