Portuguese 1a Divisão vice champions
Nigeria forward Chinaza Uchendu has signed for Portuguese 1a Divisão outfit Sporting Braga from Rivers Angels.
The tricky attacker had joined the Jewel of Rivers in 2017 having excelled at Nasarawa Amazons.
But Uchendu, 20, spent only one season with the Port Harcourt based side, scoring 10 goals in 18 appearances.
Uchendu who operates at right wing or as a supporting striker was linked with clubs in Sweden, Norway and France during the current transfer window but no deal materialized.
Braga officially unveiled the playmaker on Wednesday via their Social Media outlets.
The highly rated Uchendu represented Nigeria at the 2015 All African Games, 2016 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup and the 2017 WAFU Women’s Cup of Nations.
She is expected to help the Minho Warriors wrestle the league title from rivals Sporting CP, having finished second in the last campaign.
