Al Ittihad Kalba central midfielder Raheem Adewole Lawal has given an injury update, pleaded for patience in his recovery.
The Nigerian international midfielder has been ruled out for several weeks after sustaining an injury in the UAE Arabian Gulf League game against Al Wahda on 31st August 2018.
He has undergone a successful surgery following the setback.
“I’m doing OK, with less discomfort and less pain. It was an injury. I have undergone a successful surgery. My leg is strapped with POP,” he explained to Footballlive.ng today.
“It was an injury that I didn’t plan for. In every situation I give glory to God. There is a reason for everything in life.
“Whether I recover before the time the club believe or not, I have to remain calm because I know that this is delicate, for the position that I play.
“In the coming days I will not feel discomfort or have feelings of pain in the ankle. But I have to take it easy, if it is one month then it is one, if it two then it is two. Whatever sees fit for me to feel good.
“I have great confidence in my teammates to perform in my absence. Everyone knows what is at stake.”
