- Recently crowned champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Rangers International, have formed a strategic partnership with Green Foot Ladies as they prepare for the upcoming CAF Champions League season.
In 2021, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) implemented new regulations requiring clubs participating in men’s continental competitions to also have a women’s team. This move is aimed at enhancing the development of women’s football across Africa.
In an official statement, the Flying Antelopes highlighted that this collaboration will help uncover and develop young female football talents in the region.
“We are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking technical partnership between Rangers International FC Enugu and Green Foot Ladies Enugu,” the statement read.
“Through this alliance, Rangers International FC will offer extensive support to Green Foot Ladies, promoting the growth and advancement of women’s football in our community.
“This partnership emphasizes our dedication to fostering inclusivity, excellence, and opportunities within the sport. Together, we strive to nurture talent, improve skills, and elevate the status of women’s football in Enugu and beyond.”
