Rangers International of Enugu attacker, Kelvin Itoya has declared that the Coal City outfit are up to greatness in the CAF Confederations Cup, because he believes they will go far in the continental competition.
Footballlive.ng learnt that Itoya is excitedly looking forward to the outcome of Friday’s draw, from which The Flying Antelopes will know their opponents in the play-off round, but he says they will be able to take care of any team that they are pitted to play against.
Heading into Friday’s draw, Itoya says Rangers will overcome whoever they come up against next and enjoy a memorable time in the second-tier continental competition.
He took to the Bible for a strong quotation to buttress his point, with a verdict that the Grace of God will be sufficient in taking Rangers through to the group stage of the competition.
Itoya stated: “First all we give glory to God for giving us this victory, as the good book says: ‘It is not of him that willeth or runneth but of God that showeth mercy.’ So we are grateful for the victory.
“Having looked at how we got to this point you will know we are up for greatness.
“Going to the next round, before the group stage, I don’t think the next segment will be different from these previous matches played.
“I strongly believe we are going to scale through the next hurdle. We will prepare hard and make sure that we go further in the competition.
“My target in the CAF Confederation Cup and we believe we are going to go far in this tournament.”
