Everton youngster, Ademola Loookman has been stirred with emotional words of nostalgia about his spell on loan at RB Leipzig of Germany last season, as the Bundesliga club’s chief executive, Ralf Rangnick says the lad had a wonderful time with his team.
Everton are not prepared to sell Lookman to Leipzig this summer, but Rangnick believes Lookman would make the choice of returning to Germany if it were up to him alone.
The Nigerian-born winger-cum-striker spent the second-half of last season on-loan at RBL, where he impressed on the pitch and thrilled the club’s management.
RBL are now pushing to sign Lookman outright, making offers of €14m and €16m, but The Toffees are holding out for €20m, which Rangnick belives should not be a stumbling block.
He affirmed: “Ademola Lookman is currently a player of Everton. He knows from his time with us and also through the relationships he has built up with us, our appreciation for his quality as a player and as a person. We are in constant contact with his club.”
