Ligue 1 club, RC Lens has secured and announced the signing of Nigerian midfielder Hamzat Ojediran, who joins from Hungarian side Debrecen.
The 20 year old Ex Golden Eaglet player signed a four-year contract with the French club, following an impressive performance in his two-year spell in Hungary.
“We are pleased to announce the signing of Hamzat Ojediran for the next four seasons. A revelation in the Hungarian championship in 2023/24, Hamzat is a true force of nature,” said RC Lens General Manager Pierre Dreossi.
Dreossi praised Ojediran’s qualities, describing him as “an explosive and athletic midfielder” and “an aggressive ball-winner in the good sense of the word.”
He added that the defensive midfielder’s determination and commitment on the pitch align perfectly with RC Lens’s expectations.
Hazmat Ojediran represented Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, where he featured in all four of the team’s matches of the competition.
