Rohr hints on future invitation for Amuzie

Date:

Lugano left back, Stanley Amuzie is on course to be recalled to the Super Eagles team for future assignments, two years after he last featured for the national team, according to coach Gernot Rohr.

Amuzie is being seen as a catalyst that could offer stiff competition to Brian Idowu, Ola Aina and Jamilu Collins at left back.
And despite preferring Idowu, Rohr needs a good option at the problematic position.
“We have good players to choose from at the left back position,” Rohr said at a World Press Conference attended by Footballlive.ng.
“Obviously, Stanley Amuzie is an option we are considering in and he could make a return to the team.
According to a reliable source in the team, ” Idowu has not showed the Franco-German he could be relied on in the games he has played.”
“The coach wants his full backs to be aggressive and press high up but that has not been the case with the Lokomotiv Moscow player.
