Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr is picking more gains he got Tuesday’s international friendly against Uganda, as the Franco-German technical adviser says the game accorded him the opportunity of seeing new options and ideas for the Nigerian team.
Although many Nigerians and wont to slam the Eagles for a dull and lackluster performance in a goalless draw at home against The Cranes, footballlive.ng can report that Rohr is happy with the lessons learnt.
Rohr affirmed that he used the match at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba to kick-start his preparations for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, ahead of which he admits he will have to test as many players as possible.
With that in mind, Rohr said he was happy to see some new players in action on Tuesday, while also noting that previously unused ones had opportunities to try out, while a couple also returned from injuries.
