Nigeria Manager Gernot Rohr felt his side were well worth a 3-0 victory over Seychelles at Stade Linite on Saturday.
The Eagles flew past the Pirates in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier Group E fixture.
“It was not an easy game because Seychelles fought so much and were very aggressive,” Rohr told Footballlive.ng.
“They wanted to get a result. Second half was more difficult because we had the wind to contend with and against a fighting team.
“Am satisfied with the result.”
“We had one injury and two yellow cards. That was why I had to substitute Kelechi Iheanacho. I didn’t want a second yellow for him.
“We dominated the match and scored three goals. It was important we won and will concentrate on the Libyan games,” he added.
Victory gave the Super Eagles three points and wiped out the goal deficit from the loss to South Africa on Matchday 1 (with one goal to spare), and victory over Libya in Kaduna on 13th October would brighten Nigeria’s chances for a place at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
