Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Melvin Amaju Pinnick has disclosed that he has taken up the gauntlet of trying to convince Chelsea winger, Victor Moses tto return to the Super Eagles because the coach, Gernot Rohr is ready to have the player back.
Footballlive.ng gathered that, in a apparent reaction to critical reactions and comments trailing his efforts to make Moses rescind his retirement from the Eagles, Pinnick says he is not interfering in the coach’s duties.
In contrast with arguments against the role he is playing in seeking the return of Moses, Pinnick disclosed that he is working in agreement with Rohr, who the NFF boss says also appreciates the player’s talent.
Pinnick added that Rohr is determined to win the Africa Cup of Nations this year in Egypt, and the Franco-German gaffer knows Moses is one player that could boost the Eagles’ chances of achieving the feat.
Rohr confirmed Pinnick’s verdict, as the former Gabon, Niger Republic and Burkina Faso handler admitted he loves Moses’ quality and style of play, which could come in handy during AFCON 2019.
Rohr said he continues to have a good relationship with Moses, whose experience and skills he admits can make a difference for Nigeria.
“We have still a good relationship with Victor Moses. He is one of the the players who can make the difference,” Rohr submitted.
