Former Abia Warriors forward Bolaji Sakin has commended his old club for their performance so far in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The Umuahia Warriors are 8th on the NPFL ladder after 24 round of games.
Warriors visit Sunshine Stars on Wednesday 18th July and could climb as high as fifth in the standings with a win.
“I always try to follow the team,” Sakin told Footballlive.ng.
“I hear all the results and still feel connected with my peers.
“Abia Warriors have made a good impression this season and hopefully they can maintain this level for a long time. I wish them all the best for this season and all that follows.”
Sakin is on the books of Guinea outfit Horoya and he talked about life in the West African country.
“My adaptation has been pretty fast,” the striker continued.
“Conakry is a huge and populous city, the traffic is colossal and the movement of the people on the street constant.
