Samuel Kalu’s Bordeaux dims PSG’s shine

Date:

Samuel Kalu and his Bordeaux teammates threw the spanner in the works of Ligue Un leaders PSG on Sunday night as they halted the Parisien’s 14-game winning streak in the league.

Kalu came on as a second half sub (69′),  with his side trailing 2-1 in the encounter.
PSG’s goal scorers Neymar and Kylian Mbappe had given them the lead twice, but they couldn’t close it up.
The Girondins then made a last ditch effort to salvage a point and it turned out the three second half substitutions; all made withing 9minutes, would be the tonic.
In the 84th minute, Andreas Cornelius; on loan from Atalanta netted the leveler, knocking the wind out of the Sails of their more dominant opponent.
That single point earned also saw Bordeaux jump up in the standings to 11th on the table.
