On the eve of the Africa Cup of Nations final in 1994 while fans back home as well as those in Tunis anticipated the hostility between Nigeria and Zambia, the captains, Stephen Keshi and Kalusha Bwalya took time out to enjoy a tea party.
Twenty-four years later Bwalya relieved the moment as he honored the memory of the now late Keshi.
In a tweet on Sunday, the Zambian football Legend shared an emotional summary of his relationship with Keshi after another Twitter user posted a picture of the two clinking their little tea cups.
Bwalya tweeted:
#StephenKeshi my brother, we all began our personal careers in the 80’s in #Belgium. Always good buddies. At one time we had like 4 #Nationalteams in One Hotel in #Tunisia #Afcon 1994. We managed to share many moments and a cup of tea. (RIP) #Africa #Legend #BigBoss
