Semi Ajayi: Determination Is Our Biggest Asset

Date:

Rotherham United of England defender, Semi Ajayi has declared that determination will be the biggest asset the Super Eagles will use to overcome Libya in Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo.

While acknowledging that they woiuld also need the best of skills and tactics to carry the day at Godswill Akpabio international Stadium, footballlive.ng report that the former Arsenal youth team player also reiterated that he and his colleagues are determined to win.
Ajayi stressed that the Eagles are ready to make Nigerians proud against The Mediterranean Knights of Libya in their third and fourth Group E games of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers.

Libya are top of the group, after picking a goalless draw away to South Africa, and the Eagles, who won 3-0 away to Seychelles same day, are third, having lost their opening game at home with Bafana Bafana.
However, Ajayi, who played as a substitute against Seychelles and then started in the friendly versus Liberia three days later, believes the story will change after Saturday’s match in Uyo, ahead of which the ex-youth international feels he could get a shirt to star against the Libyans.
Ajayi, who has been called up to the Eagles for the second time, added that he is very optimistic about their chances of picking maximum points in Uyo, but urged Nigerian soccer fans to rally round them all the way.
Ajayi said: “We know the importance of these two matches and we are determined to do all we can to secure maximum points to give ourselves the best chance of qualification and make our country proud.
“We ask for the continued support from our fans as their support can make all the difference.”
