Sevilla coach, Garcia Pimienta believes Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, will soon find his scoring touch as he adapts to the club.
Iheanacho joined Sevilla this summer after leaving Leicester City but has struggled to secure a starting position.
The 27-year old striker made his second start in Sevilla’s recent 2-1 win over Valladolid. He was substituted after 62 minutes, with the score tied at 1-1 before Ejuke scored the winner.
After the match, Pimienta spoke only Iheanacho’s progress with the team.
“I think he’s put a lot of effort and intensity into it, but he hasn’t been very good in front of goal, but this is a process. You have to adapt to the position. I think Iheanacho has done a good job.”
“He is a boy who has to give us something because he has a lot of quality, he has a lot of experience in the Premier League and he has shown the quality he has. He has to apply himself like everyone else and show the level he has, which I am convinced he will give.”
Kelechi Iheanacho will continue his search for a starting spot in Sevilla’s next match against Atletic Bilbao.
