Bursaspor of Turkey defender, Shehu Abdullahi has declared that he has fully overcome his recent injury blight, adding that he is now back feeling healthy and strong, footballlive.ng reports.
Following almost five months out with injury, during which time he missed key matches for club and country, Abdullahi disclosed that he is happy to regain full fitness and is ready conquer more hurdles with his club.
Abdullahi returned to action last weekend, as a 30th minute substitute for Ramazan Keskin in his side’s home fixture against Rizespor, which he believes was the right signal for his revival.
Although Bursaspor lost the game 2-1 at home, with fellow-Nigerian, Azubuike Okechukwu sinking his team with a 78th minute goal, while the visitors also had Chidozie Awaziem with 22nd minute yellow card, Abdullahi is picking positives from the game at Timsah Arena.
He is now looking ahead to this Saturday’s trip to face table-topping Istanbul Basaksehir, with a view that his 14th placed side can pull off a surprise on the road.
While rating himself fit like a fiddle for this weekend’s game and more to come, Abdullahi stated: “Healthy and strong! In the mood to conquer more with @BursasporSk.”
