Bursaspor of Turkey defender, Shehu Abdullahi has joined the growing list of injured Nigerian players, ahead of next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
The report out of Turkey reveals that Shehu is set to be out for two weeks, though his club’s medics assuaged fear by stating that it is only a slight injury.
This could now be a playback of what happened just before Nigeria’s second match of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers, when Abdullahi copped a knock before the game against Algeria in Uyo.
It is now left to be seen if Abdullahi will be fit enough to play away to Seychelles at the restart of the AFCON 2019 qualifiers on September 7.
