Bursaspor of Turkey defender, Shehu Abdullahi is targeting victory on the road this weekend, as he believes his side can get maximum points away to Istanbul Basaksehir on Saturday.
Although Basaksehir are current leaders of the Turkish Super Lig, while Shehu’s team lie lowly at 14th, the former Sokoto United, Kano Pillars and Anorthosis Famasgusta of Cyprus star believes his side can win.
He admits it will be a tough match, but reckons that Buirsaspor can get something out of it with determination from the payers and unflinching support from their teeming fans.
The Super Eagles star, who played as a defensive midfielder during his day at Pillars and with the home-based Eagles that won bronze at the 2014 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) in South Africa, also gave a prayer for safety of all of his club’s fans that will travel for the game.
Shehu stated: “We are up against Istanbul Basaksehir, the league leader. Top game with our priority to come back home with positive result.
“Wishing our travelling fans safety. We’ll battle together at Istanbul! We are @BursasporSk.”
