Nigerian international Shehu Abdullahi scored his first ever goal in the colors of Turkish side Bursaspor in the team’s witty comeback win against Sivasspor in a Turkish Super Lig fixture on Saturday.
Shehu joined the Turkish side Bursaspor from Cypriot football outfit Anorthosis Famagusta in the January transfer window in 2018.
Shehu returned to the team’s starting line up for the first time since the start of the year and wasted to time in scoring a memorable goal with a thunderous header in the 19th minute after the away side had taken the lead in the 6th minute through EmryKilinc’s fine individual finish.
Shehu almost got a brace in the game but blasted the shot over the bar from close range. Henri Saivet in the 62nd minute gave the home side a lead which was shortlived after Delvin N’Dinga made it 2 – 2 in the 89th minute only to get their heart broken a minute later when Aytac Kara stole the whole points for the home side.
Reacting to the win and his goal, Abdullahi on his official social media handle wrote; “Great to get a goal after a very difficult comeback! 3 points for @bursaspor”
