Sheyi Ojo Admits Excitement Over Liverpool Return

Date:

England youth international winger, Sheyi Ojo has expressed excitement over his return to his parent club, Liverpool, for pre-season training, few months after ending another loan spell at Fulham.

Though nothing concrete has been said about his future at Anfield, Ojo said he is happy to be back with The Reds and said he is determined to impress the manager, Jürgen Klopp after he was included in the squad for pre-season training.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup winner will now be hoping to get involved when Liverpool tackle Chester in the first of their nine pre-season games on Saturday.

That would mark the beginning of Ojo’s efforts to prevent a repeat of the situation last term, when Liverpool decided to loan him to Fulham, despite catching the eye in South Korea and helping England win the global tournament for the first time in their history.

Ojo said: ”It’s a really good feeling, I was delighted to be coming back and was looking forward to pre-season.

”I’ve been working really hard during the break and I’ve been really excited about getting back to Liverpool and hopefully showing what I can do.

”I’m definitely in the best shape I’ve ever been and I feel like I’m as strong mentally as I’ve ever been, so I’m really excited about what’s to come this season.”
