Reims of France summer loan signing, Sheyi Ojo has expressed delight over the top form he has enacted with the modest French club, but admits he needs to add goals scoring to his impact in the team.
Ojo was on top of his game at the weekend, as footballlive.ng spotted him in his full debut for Reims, but his side could only play out a goalless draw against Dijon on Saturday.
It was game number six for his side in the French Ligue 1 and the England youth international, who joined Reims on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool of England in the summer transfer window, is eager to add more time under his boots.
Ojo got off the bench in Reims’ previous matches against Montpellier and FC Nantes before got into the starting line-up for Saturday’s game at Stade Auguste-Delaune II, during which he was in blistering form.
The England goal medallist at last year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup used his pace to outrun Dijon’s defence line on several times in the first half but he could not hit target with a goal.
Nonetheless, Ojo, who previously spent time on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham and Wigan Athletic, is now looking towards better days ahead of him, as he finally wants to make his impact felt in Ligue 1.
