Shooting Stars Unveil New Signings for 2024/25 NPFL Season

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has officially introduced eight new players ahead of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The club also took the opportunity to reveal their new home, away, and alternative jerseys for the upcoming campaign.

The newly unveiled players are:

  1. Abiodun Akande – Goalkeeper (from Rivers United)
  2. Mustapha Lawal – Goalkeeper (from Sunshine Stars)
  3. Ojietefian Sylvester – Center-back (from Enyimba)
  4. Ikouwem Udom – Left-back (from Anenir Sportif De la Marsar, Tunisia)
  5. Abubakar Aliu – Midfielder (from Lobi Stars)
  6. Adebayo Abayomi – Midfielder (formerly of Remo Stars)
  7. Bolaji Sakin Simeon – Forward (from AS Otoho, Congo)
  8. Ayanrinde Samuel – Striker (formerly of Sporting Lagos FC)

Speaking at the unveiling, the Executive Chairman of the club, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, reveales the club’s desire to improve on last season’s performance, where the Oluyole Warriors finished fourth on the table, narrowly missing out on CAF qualification with just one point behind Enyimba.

He explained that these fresh signings were recruited to strengthen the team and provide additional quality to complement the retained players from last season.

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote, who continues to lead the team, stated that the new players were chosen to address issues the team faced in specific areas last season, with the aim of improving their overall performance.
