Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro, Chairman of Shooting Stars Football Club, has called on the team to give their all and secure maximum points in their upcoming match against Kwara United. The charge comes in the wake of a disappointing defeat against Niger Tornadoes, a loss that Akoro believes the team needs to move past.
Addressing the players after a training session on Monday, Akoro emphasized the importance of bouncing back with a strong performance. He urged the Oluyole Warriors to win convincingly against Kwara United to appease the fans and restore confidence within the team.
Reflecting on the missed opportunity in the previous match, Akoro said, “That loss in Kaduna was a setback for us. If we had won that game, we would have been among the top four teams on the log by now.”
He continued, “However, on Wednesday, I want you to pacify the fans with a comprehensive win over Kwara United and I know you can do it.”
Akoro further highlighted the competitive nature of the league this season, noting that no team has a definitive claim to the title yet. He encouraged the players to seize the opportunity and make a strong push towards achieving the team’s objectives for the season.
Concluding his address, Akoro reassured the players of the management’s unwavering commitment to their well-being and success. Shooting Stars will host Kwara United at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Wednesday, with hopes of securing a crucial victory in their campaign.
