Former head coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia has called on the Federal Government to build more structures that will help in making the domestic league a better one.
Siasia who stated this to Footballlive.ng, noted that it’s high time the league is taken serious.
He also stressed on the need to have a business oriented mindset in the administration of the game in Nigeria.
“I think the Federal Government has a role to play in ensuring that our league is on the world map. The structure in Nigeria needs to be improved upon,” the former Nantes striker told Footballlive.ng.
“Look at leagues in South Africa, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Angola, Sudan, DR Congo and even Kenya, the structure is decent enough because the machinery has been put in place.
“Our administration of the game needs to change. Football is business and isn’t a “Charitable Entity” Until we adopt a business oriented blue print we won’t make the desirable progress in our league.”
