Rangers International of Enugu attacker, Bright Silas has declared that all players in the team know that they must beat Bantu FC of Lesotho this weekend in order to brighten their chances of reaching the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Although they are playing away for the first leg on Sunday, Silas said during a radio sports programme monitored by footballlive.ng in Lagos that The Flying Antelopes will go all out to get a decent result.
Silas acknowledged that the quality of play they put up in the first leg and the result they get will go a long way in determining if they will reach the group stage of the second-tier continental clubs’ competition.
He stressed that all the players are determined to achieve greatness with The Coal City side, hence their unanimous agreement to put in their best on Sunday and warp up the race during the return leg next weekend at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Silas stressed: “We know what we want. Our target is to reach the group stage, and that is what we are going to do.
“We will play with everything to win home and away. We want to reach the group stage, and that we will work hard for.
“We will give all our energy and heart to achieve something big to start January in a big way for Rangers and for Nigeria.”
