Solanke Receives Gerrard’s Call For Rangers’ Switch

Nigerian-born Liverpool striker, Dominic Solanke has received an open invitation to one of his club’s former captains, Steven Gerrard to join him at his new base in Glasgow.

Gerrard was this week confirmed as the manager at Rangers, and is now 8usingf the opportunity to source for talent from his former base, with Solanke top of his list.

The startling report out of Scotland reveals that Gerrard is set to raid his former club for the summer capture of Solanke, as he kick-starts his revamp of Scottish Premier League (SPL) club.

The 20-year old Solanke, who joined Liverpool from Chelsea in the summer of 2017, was accorded just five starts in 21 appearances in the English Premier League last term, with his only goal coming on the final day against Brighton.

However, Gerrard has earmarked Solanke and Bournemouth veteran, Jermaine Defoe for his side’s attack, as he aims to end the dominance of Celtic in the Scotland top-flight next term.

The 37-year old Reds legend is now hoping to convince Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp to part with the youngster, given the number of established attacking options at his disposal and further aid the development of the player with regular first team football elsewhere.
