Liverpool striker, Dominic Solanke has received an offer from Newcastle United for a deal in the January transfer window.
The former Chelsea youngster spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem of Holland, where he scored seven goals in 25 games, but footballlive.ng learnt he could be on his way to Saint James’ Park at the start of the New Year.
This follows reports that The Magpies’ manager, Rafa Benitez is considering a move to sign the Nigerian-born England international, other things being equal.
However, Benitez, who is a former manager of Liverpool, is thinking not only of Solanke, as the Spaniard equally has another Anfield kid, Divock Origi and Watford’s Troy Deeney on his radar for the January transfer window.
Newcastle are the second worst scoring team in the English Premier League, with only seven goals from 11 games, such that Benitez is planning a move for Solanke alongside other options.
Solanke could be available for the offer, as the Nigerian-born lad is yet to play a single game for The Reds’ first team this season.
Sonlanke, who was part of England’s FIFA U20 World Cup winning team, during which he went home with the golden ball, is behind Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Origi at the Merseyside outfit.
