Liverpool striker, Dominic Solanke may not end up replacing Sadiq Umar at Glasgow Rangers of Scotland after all, following lukewarm comments from the coach, Steven Gerrard.
Footballlive.ng can report that, in contrast with initial information that Sadiq had to bow out to make room for Solanke, Gerrard has played down talk that The Gers could sign the Liverpool striker in January.
Solanke has struggled for game time this season and has been linked with Crystal Palace alongside Rangers, but Gerrard is mute on a move.
Gerrard stated: “I haven’t heard Dominic say he wants to leave Liverpool.
“I haven’t heard Liverpool say they want him to leave, so there’s nothing really to say about it.”
