Hugo Broos, the head coach of South Africa, has disclosed that four important Bafana Bafana players are recovering from minor injuries ahead of their next game against Nigeria.
The four players—Teboho Mokoena, Aubrey Modiba, Bathusi Aubaas, and Ronwen Williams—suffered minor bruises during their club Mamelodi Sundowns’ Nedbank Cup final defeat to Orlando Pirates on Saturday.
Broos is confident they will be ready for the big game. “There are little problems with Teboho, Aubrey, Bathusi, and Ronwen. Nothing to worry about, but the little problem is there. It will not be an issue for the game on Friday,” Broos reassured.
“The guys will train with us, although Ronwen will train a bit less because of his shoulder. But for the rest, we don’t see these as problems yet,” he added.
South Africa will face the Super Eagles of Friday in the World Cup Qualifiers.
