Success Blames Carabao Exit On Ill Luck

Watford of England striker, Isaac Success has blamed his side’s loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup on ill luck, which he believes saw them lose on penalties this past Wednesday, despite scoring first.

Footballlive.ng reports that it was Success who got The Hornets’ ahead with the day’s opening goal, just after half time, but Spurs stormed back, to eventually eke out a 2-2 draw and take the game into lottery of the shootout.

Despite the defeat, though, Success was happy to get 90 minutes of action under his boots in Wednesday’s encounter and added appreciation to The Hornets’ fans for rooting for the team till the final whistle at MK Dons Stadium.

The 22-year-old opened the scoring with his second goal of the season but Spurs fought back to ensure regulation time ended 2-2 before the London club won the fixture 4-2 on penalties.

Nonetheless, Success was impressed by his team’s performance in the encounter, and took to the social media to praise his pals, while also thanking their fans for unflinching support.
Success posted: “Great team performance but unlucky and thanks to all the Watford fans that came out to support.”
