Watford boss Javi Gracia has echoed captain Troy Deeney’s belief that Super Eagles player and Nigerian striker at the club, Isaac Success can become a top player at the club.
The Nigeria international has overcome a turbulent settling down in England and looks set for a more prominent role under the Spaniard. With competition for places in Watford very high, coach Javi Gracia has assured that all his players, including Isaac Success, remain ‘important’ to his plan.
Ahead of Saturday’s English Premier League clash against Fulham at Crave Cottage, Success and a couple of his teammates including midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah are pushing for a starter’s spot. But Gracia is likely to continue with his winning team, despite their 2-1 loss last weekend to Manchester United at home.
The Hornets have won four and lost one of their five opening games of the 2018-19 English top-flight campaign and, with the help of the Nigeria striker, progressed to the third round of the League Cup.
The 22-year-old made substitute appearances in all five league games so far and he would be hoping to get his first start against former boss, Slavisla Jokanovic’s men.
