Despite failing to score in last weekend’s English Premier League fixture, Watford striker, Isaac Success has won fresh words of praise from his coach, Javi Gracia.
Footballlive.ng can report that Success, who has already landed in Lagos ahead of his trip to Uyo to join the Super Eagles’ camp for Saturday’s match against Libya, was on as a 55th minute substitute at the weekend in the home game at Vicarage Road Stadium.
However, he failed to hit target in the home defeat for Watford’s against Bournemouth, in what was a rude end to a surging vein of top form for Success in recent time..
Success was introduced with the scoreboard already reading 4-0 and, though he failed to turn the tide around for The Hornets, his coach has sweet words for the former Granada of Spain all-action hitman.
The 22-year-old star provided only one assist in nine La Liga appearance for the relegated Granada, but has scored twice in nine games in all competitions for Watford, which earned him a recall to battle Libya.
Though the Watford manager started Success from the bench this time out, Gracia admits that the striker has regained his sharpness and form which is helping the team.
“Sometimes the players need to spend time on loan and with other clubs to have another experience and realise the chance they have playing for Watford.
“At this moment, Isaac knows it is a good chance for him. He is working hard, had a good pre-season with a good attitude and is waiting for the minutes to show what he can do.
“He has worked really hard and you can see he is really fit. He is competing very well and is strong against centre-backs.
“I think he is helping us and the most important thing for me is I know he is ready when the team needs him to be.” Gracia submitted.
