Rafiu Oseni, head coach of Sunshine Queens, has hailed his team’s performance following their victory over Green Foot FC in the Round 32 match of the women’s President Federation Cup.
The Owena Whales secured a 3-1 win against the non-league side at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday, with goals from Suliyat Ajibade, Ajibade Taiwo, and Bolaji Olamide.
Expressing satisfaction with the team’s performance, Coach Oseni explained his commitment to analyzing and improving the team’s performance as the competition progresses.
He stated, “Sunshine Queens is a very good team. As soon as we get back to our base, we will work on some areas we are lacking. There is going to be better improvement before our next game.”
Oseni praised Green Foot FC for their resilience, noting, “Our opponent gave a good account of themselves. They are not pushovers at all. We edged them through experience, hard work, and the grace of God.”
The remaining fixtures of the Round of 32 are scheduled to take place on Thursday.
