Super Eagles could return to Kaduna, Rohr inspects Ahmadu Bello Stadium

Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has inspected the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna as possible host for Nigeria’s next home game in 2019 AFCON qualifier.

Rohr was at the stadium earlier today to access the playing surface alongside NFF vice President, Shehu Dikko, per Osas Mahawi [Owngoal Nigeria].

 

The three times African champions are currently second in Group E and will next play Seychelles. The team’s next home game is against Libya.

 

Nigeria’s last competitive game in Kaduna at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium was an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in 2016.

 

The Super Eagles were held 1-1 by the Pharaohs of Egypt in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

 

Nigeria is housed in Group E where they face competition from South Africa, Seychelles and Libya in the bid to reach the 32nd edition of the competition.
